My return trip to Maui was two-fold; research for my new book and to visit my former co-workers. I thought I would have forgotten my way around Maui, the old hangouts the feel of the island. But it was if I never left, as though this were my home. Visiting my former co-workers and later having lunch with them brought me to tears.
Every rush of the ocean ignited my spirit. The smell and beauty of the plumerias made me smile. Returning to the top of Haleakala National Park, this time for the sunset, I felt on top of the world at its highest peak. This trip was well worth the eight plus hour flight to get to this island. My mind and body needed the rejuvenation that will be with me for a long, long time.
